I Heart Glittery Bananas
Okay, this seems a little silly considering the small numer of people who read this blog, but I am having a giveaway. I always love when blogs give things away, it adds a little excitement to my day. I have wanted to do this for a while, but what in the world would I give away? Well, yesterday while the kids were napping, I made this little box out of cardstock, and then decided to make some coordinating thank you cards. So, what you see is what you get: four "thanks a bunch!" thank you cards stashed inside a coordinating box! Next time I will include envelopes - I am out.
I gussied up the banana with a little bit of glitter!!! Who doesn't love a glittery banana?

Model Behavior
This week flew. Monday, I spent recovering from working the weekend. In fact, my legs were cramping until Wednesday. Not typical. But they started cramping Saturday night and didn't subside until Wednesday evening. I swear, that there are no comfortable shoes for a twelve hour day spent entirely on your feet. Tuesday, we spent outside - I didn't even bother to dress myself or the kids. We kicked it in our PJs all day. Getting dressed is overrated.
Joe is always quick to snap a picture when he grabs a hold of the camera. A self portrait.

Wednesday, who knows what I did, but it went by fast. Oh yah, I made a bunch of cookies.
So then on Thursday, two girls from work brought over their chittlins for some cookie decorating. Here is my friend Josie and her little girl. Too cute. We'll talk about Josie in just a minute.
The festivities consisted of eating frosting, licking the paint brushes, eating cookies, eating sprinkles, then eating more frosting. Oh to be a kid again. Wait, that is exactly what I did.
The Monet of sugar cookie medium.
I like the messier cookies, with icing pouring over the sides. Staying in the lines is also overrated.
Remember Josie? She crocheted this absolutely darling hat for Mae. And let me tell you, Charlotte knows she's cute when she's wearing it. I snapped a bakers dozen of good pics - each with a different facial expression. They are hilarious. I am convinced Josie needs to open an ETSY store, and sell just these sun hats. They are perfect for summer, they block the sunlight, but are airy and light so as not to overheat your little one.
Tomorrow David and I are going to BB King and Buddy Guy. I can not wait to kick back with a beer and listen to the blues - without any kids. Thank you aunt Mackenzie for babysitting.

Bacon
Every time I try to reposition this video, it disappears and I am very afraid I am going to lose it. Not, just afraid, but VERY afraid. Anyway, no fancy titles here. Often times Joe will walk around the house repeating the commercials that he sees on TV. One of those commercials is the "Beggin' Strips" commercial. Well, on Thursday night I decided to make an omelet for dinner, and had to precook the bacon (that is a given), and for some reason I started this little "bacon, bacon" routine. Apparently she thought it was funny.
